This 18' x 36' vinyl liner pool is in great shape. The liner is only a few years old along with the pump and filter. However, you would never know this just by looking at it. The area around the pool makes it look neglected and not very inviting. This is what we refer to as your PoolScape.

The first thing we did was remove the wooden deck, retaining walls, and gate. With the deck gone, it was the ideal time to replace underground pipes and the skimmer. When these were in place, in went the concrete apron 3' wide all the way around the pool. Then the beautiful stone retaining walls capped with bluestone were put in place. Next, the decorative pavers were completed.

What you can't tell from a picture is all of the work done to improve the homeowners ability to enjoy and maintain their pool. We installed a brand new Laars LX400 Electronic Ignition/Natural Gas heater with a digital display. This 400,000 BTU unit is big enough to heat this pool in a matter of hours. Along with the 2" underground gas pipe, a 3/4' water line was installed by our licensed plumber to provide a hose with easy access. Next we called in our licensed electrician to lighten things up a bit. After re-wiring the pump and wiring the new heater we started to consider lighting options. He installed 2-60 watt flood lights for the work area and left our options open for the retaining wall lighting.

When completed in the spring of 2005, the gorgeous stone wall will be accentuated with 6 light fixtures. In addition a new gate and pergola will be installed to hide and shade the pools essential equipment. At which time the homeowners and their guests will be able to enjoy their newly expanded patio without seeing what's working behind the scenes to keep the pool clean and warm.
